HOW TO CUSTOMIZE THE TEXTS WITHIN YOUR PORTAL AND MAKE THEM VISIBLE TO THE CUSTOMERS WHO WILL CONNECT TO YOUR WI-FI
Start from Home Q-Box, click on the green label of the “HotSpot” menu on the top, then click on “Promote and inform”, and on “Configure portal”. You will be in the section where you can enter your texts. Just to give you a clue, we already included some contents sections (not visible to the customers until you approve them) that you can edit, delete and integrate. Let’s see how.
Editing already existing sections
It works exactly like the Questionnaire Questions section. If you wish to change name (title), click on the name of the Section. To customize the text and make it active and visible to your guests, click on the content.
Brown arrow: you can load the image representing your content.
Red arrow: insert the title of the content.
Green arrow: you can insert any subtitles or a short description of the content.
Black arrow: you can insert links that will let your guest visit external web page (ie. the price list of the treatments in your SPA on your website, the page about an event…)
Yellow arrow: finally you can insert the full content. Tip: try to be clear but concise/neat/brief, as your guests might be looking forward to getting online :-).
Purple arrow: you will need to use these two fields to set the period when the content will be vivible, using the starting date and the end date of visibility. By doing so, in case of extemporaneous events or limited time services, you do not have to worry about going to delete the content.
Tip: for texts and contents which are always valid, insert a date far ahead in time. And you will just need to remember about any updates and/or additions.
Blue arrow: by adding a flag, that content will be sent by e-mail to the address that the customers used when accessing the Wi-Fi. Qualitando will automatically send an e-mail with a Welcome message and the summary of the contents you flagged.
Why sending also via e-mail the texts that you entered in your acces portal?
Keep in mind that that your guests will transit from this page just during the initial login phase. Therefore they would not longer have any opportunity to read again the content they might be interested in. By sending them by e-mail, you will provide your guests with info that they can keep and check anytime on their mobile device.
Deleting sections that you are not interested in
Work on the menu on the right and click on the bin corresponding to the section or content that you wish to delete.
Adding missing sections
Still on the menu on the right, below the sections, find the "New Section". Click, and start creating, and customizing!
Tip: check the result with the “Preview” button on the left menu in the section where you working now “Promote and Inform”.
And now, that you finished customizing the texts in Italian, it’s time to think about your international guests.
In the menu on the left, go to the button “Translations management” and update what you edited/added. If you do not know how to edit the translations or how to create new ones, we suggest you to read our article "Language translations at Qualitando".
HOW TO CUSTOMIZE THE EMAIL TEXT SENT WITH ALL CONTENTS THAT YOU CREATED AND FLAGGED
Go to the next step following the one you were working at before, that is “Customize texts”. Click on “Welcome E-mail” highlighted by the blue arrow.
Work in the box on the right with the only recommendation to NOT delete the codes found within braces as they are necessary for Qualitando to find the contents to insert in the e-mail.
Save your text and you’re done/finished.
In this case, too, remember to verify and update the translation.
